In the heart of the city, just a few steps from Piazza di Spagna and via Condotti, the beating heart of the capital’s shopping district, lies the Nanan store. As in Milan, so in Rome -- the language of form revolves around the circularity of the spaces. Circular spaces in succession that interlock, barely touch and seem to envelop the objects they display, just as a mother’s embrace is protective and comforting. The neutral cream shade on the walls and wood floors, the sumptuousness of the decorations obtained through the measured use of frames, the warm, diffused light from the ceiling spotlights and from the grand Murano glass chandelier, the shelves that sometimes jut out and others that are recessed into the niches carved into the walls, lend this store a warm and slightly retro tone and make the image of the Nanan brand recognizable around the world.
